WHAT WE'VE GOT GOING ON
As the Product Marketing Manager for pricing strategy and ownership you will be responsible for articulating those aspects of the Looker product offer that have resulted in Looker becoming the highest rated analytics tool for customer satisfaction and ownership experience. This includes describing how Looker customers purchase, deploy, and operate the product over time. You will work closely with Looker sales, service teams, and support to help shape the value in our service offerings, support packages, pricing bundles, and deployment capabilities. You will work closely with finance, marketing, and product management to refine Looker's approach to pricing. Your passion for the customer, your experience with finance/pricing/economics, and your focus on value will make you a vital member of this rapidly growing product marketing organization.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
Clearly articulating the value of the Looker ownership experience - pricing, purchasing, deployment, and ownership over time
Define, message, and bring to market a Looker pricing model that provides both Looker customers and the Looker organization with maximum value and minimum risk
Define, message, and bring to market Looker's professional services offerings in conjunction with our ecosystem of consulting partners
Define, message, and bring to market offers from Looker's world-class global support organization
Work globally with services, support, and sales to understand local nuances in the ownership experience
Create briefs, playbooks, sales presentations, or other assets to help sales communicate Looker value
Train Looker’s extended sales team on pricing and ownership on an on-going basis
Evangelize Looker’s differentiation and positioning in briefings with customers and prospects, media, analysts, or other internal and external audiences
WHAT YOU BRING TO LOOKER
4+ yrs experience in a similar role delivering SaaS software B2B
Deep knowledge of the analytics, business intelligence, big data, SaaS and/or MPP database landscape
A background in pricing theory and experience defining pricing for SaaS products
Strong understanding of the real-world customer issues and the needs of both analytics and technology platform buyers
Aptitude for translating technical features to business value
Exceptional presentation, oral and written communication skills; experience enabling sales teams and creating effective content
Comfortable presenting to senior members of the Looker team, our customers, the media, and the analyst community
Demonstrated ability to work cross-organizationally, especially with sales, marketing, and product management
MBA preferred
Willingness to travel up to 20%
