At Randstad we are currently looking for aResearch Analystwhowill work with members of the Value Creation team of onecompany´s client, a Global Private Equity Firm based in New York. They will support the team across a variety of cost and growth projects, with exposure to the team's value creation practices in the course of their work.
The Research Analyst will learn and apply key skills across both (1) due diligence of prospective investments (operational benchmarking, organizational analysis), and (2) portfolio company value creation (including but not limited to sales and marketing effectiveness, cost analysis, organizational analysis and growth strategy).
The main duties to be perform are:
- Review market research reports and company information to evaluate market landscape and key strategic differentiators within each company's business model and operational strategy.
- Perform public and private company cost benchmarking and summarize key findings into client-ready work products.
- Research efficiency benchmarks for portfolio companies.
- Prepare detailed analysis and presentations to provide actionable insights and guidance.
- Assist with formation and execution of client's key practice development initiatives.
- Develop financial business case to support changes to organizational structure to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Skills required:
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Organizational Studies, Computer Sciences or similar.
- Advanced/BilingualEnglish (Mandatory).
- Excellent Excel & database management skills.
- Previous exposure to other Microsoft Suite (PowerPoint, Word) is a plus.
- Experience with Python is a plus.
- Excellent understanding of financial statements.
- High level of attention to detail and methodical approach to performing analysis.
- Exceptional work ethic and desire to learn new skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Globally focused, high achieving and collaborative core mindset.
