Chevron is accepting online applications for the position of SAP Application Developer located
in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
• Work with the different teams and IT partners in different parts of the world in providing SAP App
Dev services to internal customers. (i.e. but not limited to:
? Request prioritization and delegation
? Problem / requirements analysis
? Programming for enhancements and incident resolution (for Fiori and ABAP)
? Unit testing
? Functional, integration and user acceptance testing support, including defect resolution
? Technical documentation
? Code quality review)
• Participate in project implementation or development of modifications and enhancements
• Keep abreast with the new technologies used by Chevron (i.e. Fiori, Identity Management, SAP
Cloud Platform, HANA)
• Establish and Maintain Standards
Selection Criteria:
• Knowledge and experience in:
? SAP application development (including problem, requirements, risks/benefits analysis and
technical documentation) with
? Two (2) to four (4) years in developing SAP ABAP applications
? Experience in ABAP Object Oriented Programming
? Application development best practices:
? Agile (Scrum/Kanban/Scaled Agile) development
? Waterfall
? ITSM Incident and Change Management
? Documentation of technical specifications
• Quick to learn technical standards and policies, skills and technologies to address team capability
needs (i.e. JavaScript)
• Able to identify automation opportunities, work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience in developing ABAP backend REST APIs for external / frontend consumption
• Experience in developing SAP Fiori applications through SAP Web IDE
• Experience in developing / updating / fitting programs for SAP on HANA
• Experience in developing SAP Identity Management workflows (JavaScript and SQL)
• Experience in managing custom code through Solution Manager (Custom Code Lifecycle
Management)
• On cybersecurity: Awareness on practices to identify and remediate ABAP code vulnerabilities
