Key points and objectives of the position
QM China Hub takes responsibility for consolidating and enhancing various central quality functions in China, as well as supporting BBAC quality management departements as Mercedes-Benz representative. Team Field Quality ensures both CBU and PbP carlines quality in terms of monitoring field quality via various sensors, steering quality KPIs and issue resultion, monitoring Chinese market, evaluating concept quality etc. in Quality Management Hub China
1. Management:
- The management, motivation and development of staff using target agreements and performance appraisals, founded on our mission statement & corporate values, and provision of purposeful internal communications in order to achieve the agreed objectives.
- Ensuring that the necessary training appropriate to the needs of individual employees and the tasks assigned to them is provided.
- Informing subordinated employees about the relevant provisions and instructing them to comply with the provisions. Ensuring that they are implemented properly
2. Quality field Sensor:
- Supervising all quality field sensors in China market for all MB carlines including PbP and CBU.
- Preparing field issue report for top-management to provide CN market transparancy;
- Upgrading existing and establishing new quality sensors to represent field status, to early detect potential issues and to further enhance customer saticfactory, e.g. utizliing big data, DQF etc.
3. Concept Quality:
- Monitoring and conducting Close-to-market customer study
- Steering mIQS and status reporting for Chinese market
- Deep dive on individual concept quality topics and push for optimization
4. Monitoring and steering China field issues:
- Supervising all quality field sensors in China market for all MB carlines including PbP and CBU.
- Managing the field issue data/information transfer to RD, BMBS and MO/QM Germany
- Steering quality topics in the field and issue resolution with China Issue Resolution Team (CIRT) and management.
5. Budget, strategic planning and new business development:
- Budget planning for related functions; budget alignment with controlling as well as all business sponsors in MO/QM
- Strategic planning for field quality team to ensure the QM activites matching overall MB cars business development in China
- Developing new business in China based on the request from stakeholders
Qualifications
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree or above in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
- At least 5 years working experience in automotive industry.
- Strong quality background, R&D, project management and aftersales experience is a plus.
- At least 1 years in a leading position in international company, Mercedes-Benz is preferred.
- Proven team leader besides being a good team player.
- Target and result oriented.
- Familiar with Mercedes-Benz R&D, issue resolution and aftersales working process.
- Various quality knowledges in automotive industry.
- Network within RD, QM, BBAC and BMBS.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills; analytical and conceptual capabilities & strategic thinking
- Fluent English, German is a plus.
