Description
Compliance Management – together with local management and HQ Conduct periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are followed. Verify that software technology is in place to adequately provide oversight and monitoring in all required areas. Serve as a confidential point of contact for employees to communicate with management, seek clarification on issues or dilemmas, or report irregularities. Maintain documentation of compliance activities, such as complaints received or investigation outcomes. Consult with general counsel as necessary to address difficult legal compliance issues. Discuss emerging compliance issues with management or employees. Advise internal management or business partners on the implementation or operation of compliance programs. Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies, or procedures. Provide assistance to internal or external auditors in compliance reviews. Prepare management reports regarding compliance operations and progress. Monitor compliance systems to ensure their effectiveness. Report violations of compliance or regulatory standards to GC DCO organization as appropriate or required. Oversee internal reporting systems such as corporate compliance hotlines and inform employees about these systems. Anti-Money Laundering Officer – together with Local Management, HQ, Local Authorities File appropriate compliance reports with regulatory agencies. Conduct due diligence of suspicious payments, closing false alerts and escalating to local management and AMLO, suspicious payments for further investigation. Reviewing and assessing alerts for money laundering risk through AMLO monitoring system and liaising with business areas as necessary to investigate the alerts. Escalating suspicious alerts for further review and investigation. Contribute to suggestions to enhance systems, methodologies and process simplification. Ensuring management is made aware of all pressing issues in a timely fashion. Operating to the very highest levels of integrity at all times. Maintaining an appropriate audit trail and documentation in all instances, to evidence/support the review and resolution of each payment alert. Data Governance – together with Local Management, RO and HQ Provide subject matter expert assistance and support to BU on data matters and manage complex data related issues. With the support of the GC Data Governance HQ Team, work in a collaborative manner develop strong working relationships with the business and key stakeholders to generate data compliance whilst enabling commercial opportunities and support them in improving privacy practices identified from risk assessment and compliance activities. Embed and manage the data breach process in accordance with local requirements and internal policy, to lead or assist (as required) with data incident management, including breach notifications as may be required, to maintain a consolidated view of breach activity in the region and to report to the appropriate governance committee Monitor for relevant developments, new laws, regulations, guidance, etc. undertake review and provide timely analysis to key stakeholders. Deliver training and awareness to the BU Compliance program including the provision of bespoke ad-hoc training as requested to improve local knowledge of what constitutes data risk and drive the formation of champion networks. Assess and advise on the mitigation of data risks in new products and services that relate to the region, including those risks generated by trans-border data flows and any additional requirements under data local laws. Stay abreast of relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and industry developments by maintaining links with external professional bodies and networking with other multi-national organizations. Local Policy Advisor – together with Local Management and HQ Disseminate and enforce written policies and procedures related to all business unites activities. Verify that all firm and regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated. Direct the development or implementation of compliance-related policies and procedures throughout an organization. Business Information Security Officer together with Local Management and RO Is accountable for the following within their respective business division or functional division:
Actively contributing to the definition of information security regulations in accordance with the business division's or functional division's appetite for risk Controlling information security measures Ensuring transparency of information security Responsible for collaborating on strategic development, for contributing to overall transparency, and for supporting the business division or functional division in improving information security. Represents his business or functional division on the Business Information Security Council (BIS Council). Qualifications § Bachelor Degree in Law or related field
§ 10 Years Experience in Compliance, Legal
§ Background in Financial or Banking Industry is preferable.
§ Excellent Interpersonal and Communication Skills
§ Excellent Proficiency both Thai and English
