Position Summary:Sony R&D Center () is a research and development orgnizaiton at Sony’s Head office with global footprint in Japan, US, Europe and Asia. Sony R&D Center is seeking a creative individual to join our newly created R&D team. Required qualifications:MS degree in Optics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field.Strong research background and demonstrated record of innovation in the area of diffractive optical waveguide design including architecture creation and optimization.Familiarity with nanostructure fabrication technologiesFamiliarity with Python or C/C++ for an optimization algorithmExcellent analytical and mathematical skills.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion.Preferred qualifications:, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or a related field.Experience and research track record in electromagnetic field simulation tool developmentFamiliarity with RCWA theory and codingFamiliarity with Matlab for rapid algorithm prototyping.Five or more years of related professional experienceBring your uniqueness to SonyWe recognize that each and every one of us is original and different.
