Description
It is in the area of car software development that Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI), headquartered in Bengaluru, is looking to hire a SW Project Manager.
Responsibilities 1. Contribute as a SW Project Manager for one of more projects.
2. Timely delivery of the SW, within the scope, budget, and quality.
3. Contribute towards the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
4. Understand dependencies, create, and maintain a project plan.
5. Communicate, plan, and ensure timely deliveries from Vendors and other stakeholders.
6. Create, monitor, and maintain a SW release plan for multiple branches of the SW.
7. Measure and report the project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
8. Perform risk management to minimize project risks, understand and escalate to management as needed.
9. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Qualifications
Necessary Qualifications 1. Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication or related field.
2. Minimum nine years of experience, exposure to automotive software development would be an added advantage.
Minimum 4 Years of experience in SW project management or equivalent roles. Excellent behavior, outlook, and attitude. Knowhow of planning tools like Jira, MPP etc. Ability to create and present the project status to stakeholders in different capacities. Exposure to SW branching and merging methods. Ability to anticipate roadblocks, diagnose problems and generate effective solutions. Knowledge of automotive software development life cycle. Exposure to ASPICE, CMMI or equivalent software development process maps. Experience in practicing Agile. High initiative towards driving development and innovation. Pro-active and self-motivated. Excellent planning and organization, project management and time management skills.
