Your Position:
Main Responsibilities:
As a Software Engineer in John Deere Global IT team you will be part of an agile delivery team dedicated to sustain, develop and deliver IT solutions. In this role you will:
+ Be an active member of an Agile software development team, working closely with other team members to ensure that the software, data, and necessary equipment function together to meet or exceed the product specifications.
+ Be responsible for evaluating and developing high quality software solutions to improve performance, quality, and cost.
+ Deliver high quality products utilizing Agile, CI/CD and DevOps principles.
+ Work within established guidelines such as coding standards, workflow, or tool standards.
+ Root cause analysis, debug, and fix complex application issues.
+ Mentors junior software engineers.
+ Serve as a Software Engineer for SAP PDM application.
+ Ensure a high quality and sustainable code base by establishing Test Driven Development (TDD) as the foundation of development.
+ Drive product innovations leveraging the cloud and other industry leading technologies.
+ Availability to travel up to 10.
What Skills You Need:
We need a technical expert with:
+ Excellent and effective communication skills, both verbal and written, who thrives on solving problems and working hands:on in a team environment.
+ 4 to 6+ years of experience in large scale applications using SAP ABAP, Java and/or Javascript/HTML5 programming.
+ 3+ years of experience with FIORI and UI5.
+ 4 to 6+ years of experience with applications development environment, database, data administration and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
+ Excellent analytical and problem solving ability.
+ Be proactive.
+ English advanced.

Education (or equivalent experience): Ideally, you will have a University Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent experience in a related career field.
