IpsumHR is hiring a Ruby on Rails developer based in Latin America, fluent in written and spoken English and with full-time availability.
You will be part of a full-stack creative team that is responsible for all aspects of ongoing software development, from beginning stages to development, testing and launching.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, analyze and diagram software components for new and existing projects.
- Maintain existing software and introduce new improvements.
- Working closely with developers in a fast paced environment to ensure a high-quality product.
- Writing, maintaining, and analyzing reports and documentation, as well as test standards and procedures.
- Writing and maintaining unit tests as well as integration tests.
- Ensure the proper use of logging systems and suggest improvements in monitoring live applications.
- Development of Ruby On Rails applications using version 4 and newer.
- Manage application deployments with Docker and container technologies.
- Build applications using Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-3 years of experience in Ruby and Rails applications.
- Working knowledge of (Scrum/Kanban) and DevOps practices and methodologies.
-Experience in Angular or React
- Unit testing and CI development process.
- Experience writing REST applications.
- Desired: experience working with a serverless framework and cloud-native applications
- Experience with Relational and No Relational databases.
- Proven experience working docker containers and aws environments.
- Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- The desire to learn new automation technologies and development tools.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with source control (GitHub and GitLab) and performance testing tools (JMeter, BlazeMeter).
- Flexibility to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
