The Editorial Assistant provides editorial and administrative support to the Scientific and Editorial departments. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail oriented, and willing to learn. This is an entry-level position and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to start their career at a growing company with a reputation for excellence. 
Reviews documents for content, grammar, and spelling as well as for AMA style, client style, and consistency within the piece and among related pieces within a campaignProofreads layouts; ensures the quality of format and visual quality of piecesResearches information on websites and compiles reportsFiles electronic documents, correspondence, reports, and other materials. Maintains files in an orderly mannerAssists with maintaining Editorial calendarEstablishes solid working relationships with all internal teamsAccurately tracks time spent on each job and enters in time-tracking system on a daily basisRequired:
Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field, ORHigh school diploma or equivalent with 1-3 years of copy editing, proofreading, data entry, or executive assistant/administrative assistant experiencePreferred: 1-3 years of copy editing, proofreading, data entry, or executive assistant/administrative assistant experience Skills Required: Proficient in basic English grammar and spelling rulesKnowledge of all proofing and editing symbolsQuick and accurate typing skillsHigh level of computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office Suite (ie, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)Experience with Adobe programs is a plusAbility to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritize tasksExcellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact with internal team members Preferred: 5-7 years' experience in Medical Communications or related fieldMaster's degree in a related field and/or related certificationAt Cadent, we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive and authentic workplace.
