Senior Program Manager – Factory Planning Company: Mercedes Benz Research & Development India or MBRDI is a Global Capability Center of Mercedes Benz AG with office locations in Bangalore (HQ) and Pune (Satellite location).
About: Factory Planning or 'FP' center falls under the responsibility of MO/PP direction. This topic calls for engineering roles towards Planning, sustenance and development of current & new factory spaces, buildings, utilities and sustainability within MB plants.
Designation & Role: Senior Program Manager is People leader responsible for delivery of administration and functions assigned to team. Person will directly manage a team of 25~30 direct reports.
Work Location: Current position is for Pune location (the location may change in future depending on business situations).
Profile: Around 15 years of cross functional experience in Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering or Plant / Utilities Engineering domain of automotive industry. Around 5 years of proven ability to lead and influence others including those who work at other locations. Good communications skills in English & German are desirable. Experience in Global / multi-cultural environment is desirable.
Responsibilities: Project Management and People Leadership
· Responsible for the execution and delivery of large scale, multi disciplinaries and multi-year projects in phases accountable for execution of program objectives: Time, Cost and Quality.
· Experience of working in a global project environment for vehicle and/or drivetrain. Experience in End-to-End life cycle from Concept to realization to Series Planning for both Green and Brown field plants.
· Experience in Staffing, leading people and performance management process. Be responsible for driving leadership and competence development.
· Leading cross functional activities initiating, planning and executing projects through the Project management life cycle; ensuring a collaborative and high performing culture.
· Developing Strategy and Business in alignment with department and stakeholders in Factory Planning for Global carlines & plants, attract responsibilities and develop differentiated value proposition for the center through digital transformations.
· Overseeing project deliveries for topics spanning Building Information Management, Project Management, Cost & Claims Management, Conveyor Technology, Electrical & Plumbing. Influence project development to meet requirements, process & equipment planning to optimize time, cost and Quality.
· Strong knowledge of Manufacturing processes with concept of Digital Twin, smart factory, Industry 4.0; Experience in Data Analytics, Data Visualization, Cost Benefit analysis; International experience,
Degree and qualification : Masters / Bachelor's degree in mechanical / Production Engineering. IT skills like MS-Office and familiarity or practical know-how about CAD applications.
