Software Engineer

The Global Spread Technology organization is currently seeking senior hands on technical developer to build a Pre-Trade Technology platform for the Securitized Products and Public Finance businesses. This technology platform will deliver time sensitive and actionable information to our trading desks, facilitating their market making activities. The platform will gather data from multiple internal and external sources, employ sophisticated data mining and enrichment strategies, and intelligently integrate solutions from Quantitative Research and strategic analytics platforms to provide traders with predictive pricing capabilities. The team is on a mission to leverage data and data science technologies to streamline RFQ and bid list workflows, improve trading efficiencies, and increase volume.

The candidate will function as a senior developer within the Pre-Trade technology team with a focus on web and Java based software solutions. The role will involve design and development with HTML5/JavaScript, Java, Python and database technologies as part of building out a new strategic platform. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technology, has strong problem solving skills, proven track record of working with trading desks, and excellent communication skills. Knowledge of Securitized Products and other Fixed Income products is highly desirable.This role requires:

BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience
Knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python
Proficiency in web-based technologies
